Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing the physical and mental health of painting art students and their optimization paths through semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis. Based on the qualitative data of 20 students, factors promoting healthy well-being are identified from three dimensions: lifestyle, support services, and college environment. These factors include daily healthy practices, on-campus support resources, and positive community relationships. Meanwhile, major obstacles are also pinpointed, such as limited social interaction, competitive pressure, and psychological distress.

The study finds that establishing a comprehensive support system that includes mental health counseling, dietary and exercise programs, and stress management mechanisms can effectively enhance students' well-being and creativity. The research results provide empirical evidence for art education institutions to optimize their students' physical and mental health management plans.
